TAGG Rescue, short for “Tornado Alley Gentle Giants,” is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to rescuing and rehoming large breed dogs across Texas and the Midwest. Our mission is to provide temporary care and shelter for large breed dogs rescued from shelters, found as strays, or released by owners, with the ultimate goal of finding them permanent, loving homes.
OUR MISSION – At TAGG Rescue, we recognize the challenges faced by large breed dogs in high-kill shelters and strive to relocate them to areas with more available fosters and adopters. By doing so, we aim to reduce euthanasia rates and give these gentle giants a second chance at life.
Founded in 2017, TAGG Rescue has been tirelessly working to bridge the gap between large breed dogs in need and families eager to provide them with loving homes. Over the years, our dedicated team of volunteers and supporters has facilitated numerous adoptions, ensuring that these dogs receive the care and attention they deserve.
-
Rescue and Rehabilitation: We rescue large breed dogs from shelters, streets, and owners who can no longer care for them. Each dog receives medical attention, vaccinations, and necessary rehabilitation to prepare them for adoption.
-
Foster Program: Our network of compassionate foster families provides temporary homes for our rescues, offering them love and stability while we search for their forever homes.
-
Adoption Services: We carefully match dogs with potential adopters, ensuring a harmonious fit for both the dog and the family. Our adoption process includes applications, interviews, and home visits to guarantee the best outcomes.
